ചിത്രശലഭങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സ്വാഗതം

ചിത്രശലഭങ്ങളെ നിരീക്ഷിക്കാനും അവയ്ക്ക് ഉദ്യാനമൊരുക്കാനുമാണ് കരുവാരകുണ്ട് ജി.എച്ച്.എസ് സ്‌കൂളിലെ സീഡ് ക്ലബ് അംഗങ്ങള്‍ താത്പര്യമെടുത്തത്. നിലമ്പൂര്‍ തേക്ക് മ്യൂസിയത്തില്‍നിന്ന് പ്രചോദനമുള്‍ക്കൊണ്ടാണ് ശലഭക്കൂടൊരുക്കിയത്. 25 ഇനം ഔഷധങ്ങളുടെ ഉദ്യാനമൊരുക്കി 35 ഇനത്തിലേറെ ശലഭങ്ങളെ ആകര്‍ഷിക്കാനും നിരീക്ഷിക്കാനും വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞു. പശ്ചിമഘട്ടത്തിലെ ജൈവ വൈവിധ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് സെമിനാറും നടത്തി. ഒഴിഞ്ഞ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് കുപ്പികള്‍ മണ്ണില്‍ കുഴിച്ചിട്ട് ഡ്രിപ്പ് ഇറിഗേഷന്‍ നടത്തിയതിലൂടെ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക്കിന്റെ പുനരുപയോഗത്തിനും ജലസംരക്ഷണത്തിനും വഴിയൊരുക്കി. വീടുകളില്‍ കൂണ്‍കൃഷി ചെയ്യുന്നതിനും പ്രചാരം നല്‍കി.

We are proud of Midhun.C of our school, who bagged the 'Gems of Seed' award for Wandoor Edu. Dt.  Our school  has also got special mention.

National Science Day 2011-Programmes

  The Day is observed to mark the novel discovery of Raman Effect by the great Indian Physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28th February, 1928. Raman Effect is a phenomenon in spectroscopy discovered by the eminent physicist while working in the laboratory of the Indian Association for the Cultivation of science, Kolkata. After two years of this discovery, Sir C. V. Raman brought the first Nobel Award for the country in 1930. Hence the National Science Day is a great day for Indian Science and scientific community.

  

  Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) is co-ordinating the state level activities in connection with the observance of National Science Day. Proposals from Schools, Govt. ITIs, Govt. Polytechnics, Colleges, Research Organizations, University Departments, Registered NGOs, etc., in the Kerala State are selected for the celebration of National Science Day. The programmes are planned to generate awareness among the students, academia, general public, etc. about the importance of Science Day and based on the focal theme through lectures, seminars, Quiz programmes, exhibitions, film shows, debates, folk forum communication, elocution etc.

    The theme of the National Science Day – 2011 is :- ‘Chemistry in Our Lives’

Haritha Vidyalayam Reality Show

Our school secured comparatively good marks, i.e. 94.1%  in the Haritha Vidyalayam Reality Show being conducted by IT@School and the State Government.  We hope that we will pass on to the final stage to win more glory to the school and the society as a whole. The members of nature club performed exceptionally well in the show to help the school secure these marks. Kudos to them.....

Family get together of Eco club members-

                          S.Shivadas, Silent Valley wildlife Warden inaugurated the family get together Eco club members on 8/1/2011.  He told them the importance of children in protecting the forests and the environment.  Children should be allowed to do creative social work then only they will be able to develop mental stability.  When a society don't protest against the social evils it will have to pay a heavy price, the biggest example being Kasargod Dt. In the protection of Forests and fields  nature clubs and Local bodies should play a major role, he opined.  A.Vinod, S.Prasad, Hamza talked on this occassion.

With the theme of “Forests for People”, 2011 is designated International Year of Forests and will celebrate the central role of people in our world’s forests.

തീയതികളിലായി തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് വെച്ച് നടന്ന മൂന്നാമത് ബാല പരിസ്ഥിതി കോണ്‍ഗ്രസില്‍ ഞങ്ങളുടെ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ മികച്ച പ്രകടനമാണ് കാഴ്ച വെച്ചത്.  യു .പി തലത്തിലെ ഉപന്യാസ മത്സരത്തില്‍ സ്നേഹ. കെ.പി ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം കരസ്ഥമാക്കി. ഹയര്‍ സെകൊണ്ടാരി  വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ നജ്മുന്നീസക്ക്  മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനവും ലഭിച്ചു. സ്കൂള്‍ തല പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളുടെ അവതരണത്തിന് ജമ്ഷിയ.കെ രണ്ടാം 
സ്ഥാനതിനര്‍ഹയായി സ്കൂളിന്റെ ശോഭ വര്‍ദിപിച്ചു .

നാട്ടു മരങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനം

വിദ്യാലയ പരിസരത്തെ നാട്ടു മരങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനം, നാടന്‍ മരങ്ങളുടെ വൈവിധ്യത്തെ കുറിച്ച് അറിവ് നല്‍കിയതോടൊപ്പം അന്യം നിന്ന് കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന (endangered) നാട്ടിനങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഉള്കണ്ടാജനകമായ അവസ്ഥയും ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്തി. ഇപ്പോഴുള്ള മരങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവര്ക്കും തിരിച്ചറിയാന്‍ വേണ്ടി ഈ മരങ്ങളുടെ നാട്ടു പേരും ശാസ്ത്രീയ നാമവും രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ ഫലകം സ്ഥാപിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. സ്കൂള്‍ പറമ്പില്‍ ഇപ്പോഴില്ലാത്ത എന്നാല്‍ നാട്ടില്‍ സുലബമായിരുന്ന ചില മരങ്ങളായ ഇരൂള്‍, വീട്ടി, കാഞ്ഞിരം തുടങ്ങിയവ കൂടി വെച്ച് പിടിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. വാകയുടെ വിവിധ ഇനങ്ങള്‍ അടുത്ത കാലത്ത് വെച്ച് പിടിപ്പിച്ചതില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുമ്പോള്‍ നാട്ടു മാവിന്റെയോ പ്ലാവുകളുടെയോ ഒരിനം പോലും സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പദ്ധതികളില്‍ നിന്നും ലഭ്യമല്ലാത്തതിനാല്‍ അടുത്ത വര്‍ഷത്തിലീക് നാടന്‍ ഇനങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു നഴ്സറി ഉണ്ടാക്കാനും അതിന്റെ പ്രജനനം വര്‍ധിപ്പിക്കാനും ഞാങ്ങലലാവുനത് ചെയ്യാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. മാതൃഭൂമി സീഡ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി നാഷണല്‍ കൌണ്‍സില്‍ ഫോര്‍ ബയോലജികല്‍ സയന്‍സ് സങ്ങടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന നാട്ടു മരങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനത്തില്‍ ഞങ്ങളും പങ്ങാളികലാണ്

ഞങ്ങളുടെ വിദ്യാലയത്തിലെ ഔഷധ സസ്യങ്ങള്‍

2009-10 വര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ തയ്യാറാക്കിയ ജൈവവൈവിദ്യ രജിസ്റ്ററില്‍ ഔഷധ സസ്യങ്ങളുടെ ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമങ്ങള്‍,ചിത്രം, ഉപയോഗങ്ങള്‍ എന്നിവ ഉള്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇതില്‍ ചിലതെങ്ങിലും വികസനത്തിന്റെ ഫലമായി നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിടുന്ടെന്നു സമ്മതിക്കുന്നു. അത്തരത്തില്ലുള്ളത് വീണ്ടും വളര്‍ത്താന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

വിദ്യാലയത്തിലെ ഔഷധ സസ്യങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഠനത്തില്‍ നിന്നും(Bio Diversity Register-Herbs)ഉള്ളതിനെ കണ്ടെതുന്നതോടൊപ്പം ഉണ്ടാവെണ്ടാതിനെ കൂടി കണ്ടെത്താനും അവയുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം വിദ്യാലയത്തില്‍ ഉറപ്പു വരുത്താനും കഴിഞ്ഞു. അത് കൂടുതല്‍ എളുപ്പത്തില്‍ മറ്റുള്ളവരുമായി പന്ഘു വെക്കാന്നുള്ള ഉധ്യമത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാണ് ഔഷധോധ്യാനം. ക്ലബ്ബങ്ങളായ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് മീഡിയം വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ മുന്‍കയ്യെടുത്തത് നിര്മിച്ചതിനാല്‍ പുസ്തകം ഇന്ഗ്ലീഷിലാണ്, മലയാളത്തിലാക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിലാണ്.

അധ്യാപകര്‍ക്കായി നടത്തിയ ലേഖന മത്സരത്തില്‍ സമ്മാനം

മാതൃഭൂമി ദിനപത്രം സീഡ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി അധ്യാപകര്‍ക്കായി നടത്തിയ ലേഖന മത്സരത്തില്‍ ഈ വിദ്യാലയത്തിലെ അധ്യാപകനായ പ്രസാദിന് വണ്ടൂര്‍ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ ജില്ലയില്‍ മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനം ലഭിച്ചു.ആയിരം രൂപയും പ്രശസ്തിപത്രവും ആണ് ഇതിന്റെ ബഘമായി ലഭിച്ചത്. 

Bio-Diversity Photo Exhibition @ Our school

      We are planning to organize a biodiversity photo exhibition in our school an 25-11-2010.  the main focus areas will be the biodiversity in our school campus and the bio diversity that we saw during our trips to various places.

കുട്ടികളുടെ മൂന്നാമത് പരിസ്ഥിതി കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ്‌

തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് വെച്ച് നവംബര്‍ 29-30 തീയതികളിലായി നടക്കുന്ന കുട്ടികളുടെ മൂന്നാമത് പരിസ്ഥിതി കോണ്‍ഗ്രസില്‍ ഞങ്ങളുടെ വിദ്യ്യലയത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒന്പെത് വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.പെയിന്റിംഗ്, ക്വിസ്, പ്രബന്ധ രചന എന്നിവയാണ് മത്സര ഇനങ്ങള്‍.പരിസ്ഥിതി രംഗത്തെ പ്രമുഘരായ ധാരാളം വ്യക്തികള്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നുടാവും.

വയനാട് പഠന ക്യാമ്പ്‌

നവംബര്‍ 15, 16 തീയതികളിലായി വയനാട് വന്യ ജീവി സങ്കേതത്തിലെ തോല്പെട്ട്യില്‍ വെച്ച് പരിസ്ഥിതി പഠന ക്യാമ്പ്‌ നടത്തുന്നു. 

ക്ലബ്ബില്‍ അംഗങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി ഫീല്‍ഡ് സന്ദര്‍ശനവും പഠന ക്ലാസ്സുകളും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും. വയനാട്ടിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന വഴി പൂകോട്ടു തടാകം, ബാണാസുര സാഗര്‍ അണകെട്ട്, മാനതവാടി പഴശ്ശി സ്മാരകം എന്നിവ കുടി കാണാന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നു.
