The students’s from Vanashree Eco club, G.H.S.S. Karuvarakundu participated in the 2ND CHILDREN’S ECOLOGICAL CONGRESS, 2009 held at Kanakakunnu Palace, Thiruvananthapuram on 11th & 12th November 2009. Jouhar Sadath.A.K. won the 1st place in the Bird Quiz held on the occasion of the 113th Birth anniversary of Dr.Salim Ali. Midhun. P secured 3rd place in the quiz competition for U.P students and Rashid.K. Secured 3rd place in essay writing competition for the Higher secondary school students. The awards were distributed by the Chief Minister V.S.Achuthanandan. Agriculture minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran, Kerala Bio-Diversity Board Chairman V.S.Vijayan was also present during the function.
